Johnny J's Pub & Grille, Portage Lakes (3333 Manchester Rd #3, Akron, OH 44319) is an Irish-style pub with sports on the screens, kitchen open until 2am (venue closes 2:30am). We're hiring a Cook (Prep & Kitchen) — distinct from Line Cook — to handle food prep, stocking, and kitchen cleanup, and to help maintain food safety and presentation standards for the pub's menu, including weekly specials like the Friday fish fry.

What you'll do:
- Assist with prep, stocking, and kitchen cleanup
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor hot and cold holding temperatures
- Execute presentation standards for menu items
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Support teammates during busy shifts
What you'll need:
- Restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn and work hard
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team-oriented attitude and positive work ethic
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Nice to have:
- Experience in a scratch kitchen
Schedule: Scheduled as Full-Time or Part-Time, with shifts across the pub's daily 11am–2:30am hours; kitchen is open until 2am. Availability for nights, weekends, and early mornings is needed.
